Overdose Awareness Month 2024. Every august, samhsa commemorates overdose awareness week (august 27 to september 2, 2023) and international overdose awareness day (august 31, 2023) to remember the individuals, families, and communities who have all been impacted by overdose. In 2023, our nation witnessed the first annual decline in overdose deaths since 2018.

City holds city’s annual vigil to mark international overdose awareness day saturday. Our theme for 2024 is “together we can”, highlighting the power of our community when we all stand together.
